Yesterday we took the kids out to lunch at McDonalds just for a fun little family outing and since they were being so good, we thought it would be a special treat. We had fun.
Last night, when DJ left for work, I took Jaxson to sign him up for a soccer league and we were there longer than we expected. We got into the car and we were all thinking that we were getting hungry. Let me just interject that it is amazing how quickly kids sort through things learn to manipulate at this age. Jaxson decided to give me his input about what our dinner plans should be.
So this is how the conversation went:
Jaxson: "Hey Mom, can we like go out to dinner or something?"
Mom: "We just went out to lunch, we don't get to go out to eat all the time, it was a special treat, we have food at home."
Jaxson: "I know, but it's late and you're tired so that way you won't have to cook, besides I don't always like what you cook anyways."
Well, there you have it! Truth hurts!
