Easter Sunday!

Happy Easter! Little Grandpa and "Rain" bought special outfits for the kids to wear for Easter, they were so excited to put them on! They looked so nice too!
We had Easter at our house this year and it was rather enjoyable. I made a yummy coffee cake for breakfast, but Kenna couldn't wait for us all to sit down.....she dug into it as soon as she got a fork!
My Dad and his girlfriend Larraine (or "Rain" as the kids call her) drove down for the day to enjoy the kids and food! They brought some baskets from Big Grandpa & Grandma and some from them as well. The kids stayed quite busy checking out all the new stuff!
Just when they were checking out the bedrooms, the doorbell rang and all we found was an egg on the front step.
Yep, you guessed it...the Easter Bunny had made his visit! The kids grabbed their buckets and ran out into the yard. Jaxson was so excited he picked up EVERY egg in site, forgetting that his sister needed some too! Kenna started right away looking under every bush, but needed a little extra help getting to where the eggs were hidden. When Kenna finally found an egg, she was so excited, she would yell, "EGG" and toss it into her bucket. We moved into the backyard where we found lots more eggs. Among the plastic, filled eggs, there were hard boiled eggs as well. Kenna would find them, pick them up and say "icky" and refuse to put them in her bucket. Only plastic allowed in there!
Jax was going so fast I couldn't get a picture of him. The ones I did get were even blurry!
We came inside much to Kenna's despair, and checked out the LOOT! Boy, that was fun! Candy, toys, money and more candy! What else could you want!?I fixed a big meal.....much bigger than needed, but I enjoyed doing it. It was the first time I made a "holiday" meal all on my own. I must say, everything turned out great and it helped build my confidence level up enough that I want to host again!Everyone was wiped out after dinner so we just hung out, played a little Rockband and then watched a movie and went to bed!All in all, it was a great day and lots of fun. We're so glad we had our loved ones come visit!
