A child's Interpretation

I wish we all could see things, or interpret things the way a child does. We all just say things as they are, nothing special, no "spicing up" or giving it a poetic feel. Kids, on the other hand, they see the world in a whole new light and are able to express "everyday" things in a way I would have never thought of. I had the pleasure of experiencing this the other day.

Jaxson was running around the house and came running to me holding his heart. He felt it thumping and said:

"Mommy, I think my heart is happy, it keeps dancing. You can feel it."
I couldn't help but smile. Now on a daily basis, he feels his heart and tells us how happy it is and when it is dancing.

Now why couldn't I think of that? All I ever say is that my heart is pounding! It just doesn't sound the same when you use those words.
