then quickly picked up on what to do. While she could barely mutter "treat" she had no problem taking the candy and putting it in the bucket! She said "thank you" at least!
Finally, after a few houses, she was ready to hang with the big kids and not have mom hold her at the door!
We went on quite the expedition with the group and had quite the haul of candy...which isn't necessary for any of us! I held Kenna a lot of the time because she was just too slow walking really. I tried to stand back a couple times and not go to a house or two because, really, does an 18 month old need any of this and she wouldn't know the difference anyway. Wrong! If I stood there and she saw that there were houses we were missing, she would squirm and say "down" or "nandy" (candy)! She didn't miss a beat! There was even one time when she dropped her bucket and Daddy was picking up all the candy for her and she yelled "mine" at him! No one messes with her candy!
All in all we had a great time. We got back just in time to have three trick-or-treaters come to our house! So that means all the candy I bought and all the candy we got.......needs to disappear!
I tried hiding the candy on top of the entertainment center, but Kenna saw it and just grabbed a stool and tried to reach it. That, and DJ and I know it's there! Really, I have to get rid of this candy......it is haunting me!
