Kids Say the Darndest Things....

Jaxson cracks me up! He says the funniest things, and I am always left to wonder "Where did he come up with that?"

Last night I was reading him his bedtime story, which happens to be a children’s picture bible right now, and he said the cutest thing. The story was about Jesus being a long ways away and having to come heal a little girl. Jaxson says “Well, God lives a long ways away too because he lives in the sky…..I would like to ride a spaceship sometime and go see him, but someone will have to watch Kenna.” I just said, “yeah, that would be cool.” At least he thought of his sister...this time.

The other day, Jaxson was sitting watching TV with his daddy and a commercial for hearing aids came on. He sat there and watched it for awhile, then came and said "Mommy, maybe you should get me one of those things because you always have to tell me 4 times and that will make me hear better! You gotta love him!

Another story...just proves he is too smart for his own good. We were at a friend's house eating dinner and Kenna kept going under the table. The table wasn't very sturdy, so I kept telling her to get out from under it. Jaxson is quite good at "tattling" every time Kenna does something. So he would tell us every time she would go under the table. Since we are trying to end the tattling, I had told him to stop and I would take care of her. He sat there a minute, seeming to be pondering, and then says; "Hey Mom, look under the table." He fully knew Kenna would get in trouble, but technically, he wasn't tattling! Kids always keep you on your toes....that's for sure!

Hallarious!!! I love that he thought about his sister! Jr. also has some pretty funny things to say about God and seems to be quite the tattle tale himself. Must be an older sibbling thing

Hey Holly! Found your blog through Heather's. I love the minds of little ones - it's so entertaining to hear what they are thinking. Your family is darling. It was really fun seeing you at the reunion this summer. Glad I found your blog to see what you're up to.
