Back in the day, I remember holding a can up to my ear connected to another can with a string. This was our phone that we pretended to be talking on. So what happened to the imagination?
Now days, I listen to my 4 year old! text message, send pictures over the phone and now talk on a blue tooth!
The other day, I caught him on (what now is a play cell phone) on the phone text messaging his "buddies" to arrange a party at his house later! Seriously? So today, I saw what has to be the end....he asked to talk on a blue tooth! He thought he was pretty cool walking around, playing with his toys, and talking on the phone!
I tell ya, I don't know what they are going to come out with next, but Jaxson will be pretending to use it either way......and his sister isn't too far behind!
And another thing.....the fact that the kids know we can see the result of the picture we take immediately after we take it does us no favors. We used to have to really make sure everyone was looking and smiling because we had to wait until the pictures were developed to tell how they turned out...and we couldn't go back to fix it! So the kids make funny faces and just tell me to erase it! When I take a picture, they come running over to me to look at the result. They will never know any different either!
I always laughed about those people that said "Back in my day......" I think I am gaining a new understanding for that though!
