Jaxson missed out on the school field trip to the pumpkin patch, so we went to one in Boise. The only problem we encountered, besides freezing cold and crabby kids, was the fact that the pumpkins had to stay at Aunt Shell's house. Well, we set out to get our own!

We went to a local orchard that we get apples from regularly, which is one of the few perks of this town, and checked out their pumpkin patch. It was nothing like Green Bluff in Spokane, but it was perfect for my short-attention-spanned children, and our neighbor Mia, who joined us!

There was a small Maze which Mia and
Jaxson went through more times than I can count, and Kenna even tried too.

They had some hay bales set up for a nice photo opportunity, but being who we are, the kids climbed up on top and a few pumpkins fell. Now when I say fell, I mean rolled off the hay stack, down the embankment, through the parking lot, and right into the barn! We laughed and the owner comes out and says "Did you really
want this one, or do you just want me to put it with the others?" Apparently we weren't the first to cause that mishap! We did end up getting a great family photo, minus one pumpkin from the top. I can't tell you how amazing it is to have
all of us looking at the camera
and smiling. A miracle really!

Kenna hitched a ride in the pumpkin wagon and protected
her pumpkin. She had a slight meltdown when we had to take it away to weigh it, but she recovered.

All in all we had a great time. We got to go on a hay ride and
Jaxson loved the tractor that pulled us. We got about 6 or so pumpkins and lots of apples. Kenna figured out at the end, that the pumpkins were just right size for a seat. It was a beautiful day and we all had fun....now for the carving!

By the way, it was difficult getting any pictures of
Jaxson because he and Mia were running all over the place constantly! At least they were having a good time!

You have such a cute family. I love that pic of your husband sticking his head out of the pear- just one of the kids. Looks like something my husband would do too. Cute!
so fun! You'll have to blow up that pic of your family and frame it. I think the last time that happened to us (everyone looking and smiling)was over a year and a half ago!
